"My studio is in a lovely old building in Wandesford Quay, Cork. Right alongside the River Lee. Backwater Artists Studios was founded in 1990 by graduates of Crawford College of Art. There is a huge variety of mediums being used here - drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, stained glass, ceramics, printmaking etc., At the moment there are 41 artists working here. It is a huge benefit to be surrounded by other artists, we can bounce ideas off each other and also organise events within. We are alongside Cork Printmakers and Wandesford Gallery is also within the same building so we really are in an Artists haven!" - Helen O'Keeffe
